What Is a Parallel Import?

A parallel import is a genuine, authentic product purchased outside of a manufacturer's authorised distribution channel for a specific country. The product is real . not counterfeit, but it was not sold to us by Apple's or Google's official South African distributor.

Parallel imports are fully legal in South Africa under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, provided the seller discloses this to the customer. This page is that disclosure.

Your Rights Under the Consumer Protection Act

Under Section 55 of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, you are entitled to goods that are reasonably suitable for their intended purpose, of good quality, in good working order, and free of defects.

Device Authentication

Every device sold by LoopMarket is checked before dispatch.

  • No activation lock or carrier lock present
